A Perfect Night
The crowd responded to their favorite tropical troubadour by one rousing cheer after another on Saturday night under starry skies, with a warm almost-tropical breeze. The Steepwater Band was tuned to the multi-generational audience by playing the long-time favorite " Come Monday" and rocking the crowd with a toe tapping "Great Filling Station Hold-up". The Steepwater Band came to town fresh off a break, and made it clearly evident by starting off with one of their favorite sing-alongs, "Brown-Eyed Girl". To this fan, the best part of the evening was during the acoustic encore of the seldom heard Texas tribute, "Livingston's Gone to Texas". The sell-out crowd at Frisco's Pizza Hut Park were treated to a true masterpiece. This is my 10th concert, spanning several years, and honestly say, it was the best one yet.
